Dr. Michael Berkovitch is a highly experienced consultant in the agricultural and chemical

Dr. Berkovitch began his career in St. Petersburg, where he earned his doctorate in the
field of
lignin- and PVA-based polymer surfactants. His work on the adsorption theory of polymer
surfactants
in collaboration with the famous physicochemist Prof. Ariel Abramzon presented a novel
approach to
the surface activity of polymer surfactants on the liquid interphases.
During the period of his work in St. Petersburg, Dr. Berkovich led the development of new
processes
in multi-step organic synthesis, electro-conductive polymer composite materials, and
high-molecular-weight plant surfactants, and designed new lignin-based surfactants and new
products
based on electroconductive carbon fiber composites. During this time, he published a number
of
patents and patent applications.
Following his work in St. Petersburg, Dr. Berkovitch spent many years in the agrichemical and
biotech
industry. He served as the R&D Manager at Haifa Chemicals, where he led the development of
fertilizer blends and Controlled Release Fertilizers. He then joined ADAMA Ltd. of Syngenta
Group,
where he led formulation development of Herbicides, Fungicides, and Insecticides, and later
served
as Head of the Global Fungicide R&D Sector and Head of Formulation Technology Services being
responsible for overseeing all formulation technological aspects of more than twenty ADAMA's
manufacturing sites in the world.
